Some payments to become cashless starting April 1

Starting April 1, 2026, certain payments in Uzbekistan will be made exclusively in non-cash form. The changes are set out in Presidential Decree of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PF-246 dated December 10, 2025, “On additional measures aimed at promoting cashless payments and reducing the share of the shadow economy.”

According to the decree, cashless payment will be mandatory for:

payments for government services

• payments for utility services

• purchases of alcohol and tobacco products

• purchases of vehicles and real estate

• purchases exceeding 25 million UZS

• other transactions as provided for by legislation.

The measure aims to expand the use of cashless payments, increase the transparency of financial transactions, and reduce the share of the shadow economy.

Such payments can be made using:

• bank cards

• mobile banking applications

• bank transfers

• electronic payment systems and terminals.

Ipak Yuli Bank clients can make these payments via the Ipak Yuli Mobile app or using the bank’s payment cards.
