Cyber Culture Enhancement Month

From November 1 to 30, Uzbekistan is holding “Cyber Culture Enhancement Month,” a nationwide initiative approved by the Cabinet of Ministers and implemented by the Cybersecurity Center of the Operational-Investigative Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, together with the Department for Combating IT Crimes of the Tashkent City Police Directorate.

The purpose of this month is to raise digital literacy, promote safe online behavior, and prevent cybercrime — particularly fraud related to bank cards and personal data.

As digital services expand, social media usage increases, and financial operations transition to online channels, the protection of personal information becomes a critical priority. According to law enforcement data, cases of theft and fraud involving bank cards continue to rise, reinforcing the need for proactive awareness and digital responsibility among users.

The initiative brings together government bodies, banks, payment organizations, public institutions, and the media to ensure comprehensive preventive work. The key objective is to provide educational materials widely, strengthen cyber awareness, and build a culture of responsible online behavior.

“Cyber Culture Enhancement Month” aims to increase society’s readiness to counter modern cyber threats, protect citizens’ interests, and reinforce national cybersecurity.
