625 billion soums from ADB to support entrepreneurs

Ipak Yo'li Banki signed an agreement with the Asian Development Bank (ADB) for 625 billion soums (about $50 million) aimed at increasing access to finance for micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs).

The funds will support entrepreneurs across the country, with 60% going to regions outside Tashkent, a minimum of 20% to women-owned companies, and 10% to environmental projects.

The initiative is designed to strengthen the position of MSMEs, which contribute more than half of Uzbekistan's GDP, and will support ADB's strategy to develop a sustainable economy and create jobs.
