Ipak Yuli Bank is boosting its international activity with the signing of new loan facilities from European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) totaling US$10 million, which will help create new growth opportunities for SME projects.

As part of the signed agreements, EBRD is providing US$6 million loan under the Green Economy Financing Facility (GEFF), which will improve access to renewable energy technologies and energy efficiency for small businesses and private entrepreneurship. This loan is supported by technical cooperation funds provided by the Taiwan Business - EBRD Technical Cooperation Fund and the government of Austria.

In addition, the foreign partner is also providing the Bank the remaining US$ 4 million under “Central Asian Women in Business program”, supported by grant funding from the Women Entrepreneurs Financing Initiative (We-Fi). This component of the package will help to promote women’s entrepreneurship and business activity by assisting with access to finance, technology and technical advice.

The cooperation of Ipak Yuli Bank with EBRD begins in 2018, within which loan facilities were allocated to support micro, small and medium-sized enterprises, the development of green projects under GEFF program (Green Economy Financing Facility), as well as the trade finance program.
