What is Green Generation

Green Generation is an environmental initiative by Ipak Yuli Bank, implemented as part of the bank's ESG strategy in cooperation with the children's environmental movement "Time of Heroes", as well as educational and cultural partners.

The project combines environmental lessons, literary initiatives, creative projects, and interactive formats that help children better understand environmental issues and the importance of caring for nature.

Environmental lessons across Uzbekistan

One of the key areas of Green Generation became a series of environmental lessons for schoolchildren in different regions of Uzbekistan. The project covered schools in Karshi, the Bukhara region, and Tashkent and was aimed at building environmental culture among children from an early age.

In Karshi, educational activities were held at schools No. 5, 9, 15, 23, 41, and 43 and involved around 250 primary school students. The classes were conducted in an accessible and interactive format with the participation of eco-blogger and founder of Batareyka.uz, Feruzbek Sayfullayev.

Special attention was given to engaging children through practical tasks, discussions, and interactive games. In several schools, students also presented drawings reflecting their views on ecology and caring for the environment. This format helps children better understand environmental topics through personal experience and emotional involvement.

As part of Green Generation, environmental lessons were also held in the Bukhara region — at schools No. 2 and 21 in the Kagan district, schools No. 4 and 14 in the Kagan district, as well as schools No. 3 and 9 in the city of Kagan. Additional educational activities took place at School No. 358 in the Bektemir district of Tashkent.

After the lessons, students received books by writer Madina Muminova dedicated to environmental topics, as well as reusable cups as a practical tool for developing eco-friendly habits and reducing the use of disposable materials.

Environmental literature for children

As part of the Green Generation project, a series of educational events in the format of warm readings for schoolchildren was organized together with the environmental movement "Time of Heroes". The meetings took place on February 24 and March 13 and brought together students from three classes around the topics of ecology and sustainable development.

Warm readings

The program was based on environmental books by writer Madina Muminova:

📗
"Who is Plastikakl?"
📗
"Doctor Chikhakhl and His Terrible Secret"
📗
"Anubis Maymunus and the Ghosts of Extinct Animals"
📗
"The Fears of Zakhramakhr, or Who Is to Blame for Everything?"

Through literary stories and characters, children learned about current environmental problems, pollution, disappearing animal species, and the impact of humans on nature. The warm reading format helped make complex environmental topics more understandable and emotionally engaging for children.

An additional interactive element was the participation of an invited actor in the role of the character Robik the Sparrow. This interactive format made the meetings more lively and helped children become more deeply involved in environmental discussions.

Children's creativity about ecology

One of the key initiatives of the project became the creation of a children's eco-almanac implemented together with the environmental movement "Time of Heroes" and the publishing house Asian Book House. The project united children around environmental themes through creativity and personal participation.

Participants worked on their texts together with writer Madina Muminova: analyzing stories, improving plots, discussing illustration ideas with animator and artist Zilola Khamidova, and learning how to explore environmental topics more deeply through creativity.

The publication of the eco-almanac became the result of collaborative work between children, experts, and project partners and reflected the contribution of the younger generation to promoting environmental culture and sustainable development principles.
